AdvaMed submitted comments to the Centers for Medicaid and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the Fiscal Year 2023 Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System proposed rule. In this comment letter, AdvaMed supported CMS’ proposal to implement a permanent 10% cap on year-over-year reductions to the Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Groups (MS-DRGs), provided comment on a series of requests for information regarding the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 public health emergency, and reiterated previous recommendations for improvements to the New Technology Add-On Payment (NTAP) Program.
