AdvaMed Welcomes Susan Askew as New PAC Director
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) announced that Susan Askew has joined the association as PAC Director.
“As AdvaMed continues to grow its state and federal advocacy, we are fortunate to have Susan joining us to lead our political advocacy and PAC operations,” said Scott Whitaker, AdvaMed President and CEO. “With her decades of experience, I know Susan will be a key member of our team, especially as we tackle many high priority issues for the medtech industry and the patients we serve in the coming year.”
Askew joins AdvaMed with over 20 years of political fundraising experience, including 13 years directing PAC operations at various trade associations. Most recently, Susan served as Executive Director of ICSC PAC, the political action committee for the International Council of Shopping Centers. She brings extensive experience in the health care industry to the role, having worked for the American Medical Association PAC (AMPAC), the College of American Pathologists PAC (PathPAC), and the American Health Care Association PAC (AHCA PAC).
