Meet The Speakers

Paul McAndrews, Shareholder, McAndrews, Held & Malloy
Paul McAndrews is a Shareholder at McAndrews. He focuses his practice on intellectual property dispute resolution, particularly those involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition. Paul has extensive experience in managing and preparing complex IP cases, including conducting pre-filing investigations; participating in every phase of discovery, claim construction, and motion practice; leading mediations on behalf of clients; and delivering oral arguments.
He also has prepared numerous appellate briefs. In addition, he maintains an active client counseling practice where he advises clients on the acquisition and development of intellectual property. Paul’s educational background in physics enables him to assist clients doing business involving a variety of different technologies, including multifocal contact lenses, telecommunications equipment and systems, hospital beds, and other medical devices. Before receiving his Physics degree, Paul studied Economics at Northern Illinois University (NIU), where he was a two-year starting defensive end on NIU’s football team.
