AdvaMed Patient Engagement Initiative

To support enhanced patient centricity in the medical technology community, AdvaMed created a program to provide training, support and advice so its members can further their own patient engagement programs. AdvaMed retained the expertise of seasoned patient engagement professionals who work alongside AdvaMed staff to:

Goals

• Increase member involvement in patient engagement.
• Build member capabilities in patient engagement.
• Measure member success in:
  • Increasing patient access to new technologies;
  • Meeting regulatory and market access challenges;
  • Advancing health equity;
  • Promoting employee engagement and a patient-focused culture.

Programming

• Patient Engagement Initiative Exchanges: Facilitated members-only group discussions and support sessions to share best practices for increasing patient engagement.

• Training webinars: Focused on deep-dive, practicum-based approaches to patient engagement implementation.
  • Early Product Development – Improving Products with Patient Input.
  • Patient Advocacy – The Power of the Patient Voice.
• 1:1 Member coaching: Participating AdvaMed members can enroll in a 1:1 coaching opportunity to work directly with AdvaMed’s patient engagement expert to develop catered solutions to each company’s unique patient engagement opportunities

• MedTech Patient Engagement Workshop – October 14, 2024 – 2:30 PM EDT Toronto, Canada

• Patient Engagement Toolkit: Production of an exclusive toolkit that AdvaMed members can use in implementing their patient engagement programs.
