AdvaMed® Advocates for Policy Updates in Advance of Annual Rulemaking on Hospital Inpatient Payment

On February 4, in advance of annual rulemaking, AdvaMed® submitted a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding coverage and payment policies addressed under the Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS). In this letter, AdvaMed® urged CMS to use the notice-and-comment rulemaking process for all changes to MS-DRG assignments and reiterated previous recommendations for improvements to the New Technology Add-On Payment (NTAP) Program.
