Organizational growth & events veteran to lead new Medtech Conference team

Washington, D.C. The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) today announced that Wendy Siminski has joined the association as its new Senior Vice President for Conferences and Events. This is a new position at AdvaMed, where she will be responsible for leading all events and education efforts for the organization, including The Medtech Conference – the nation’s annual flagship conference for the medical technology industry.

“This industry is fortunate to have Wendy leading our events efforts and ensuring The Medtech Conference is the premiere medtech convener throughout the country and, indeed, the world,” said Scott Whitaker, president and CEO of AdvaMed. “Her extensive background in health care – along with her proficient operations skills – will serve us well as we reach another important milestone in AdvaMed’s growth as an association.”

Siminski is the former Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), with over 15 years of experience in event production and organizational growth strategies.

“I am excited to be joining such a professional conference team, and to once again work with Scott, who I’ve known for many years. I hope my knowledge and expertise in the marketing field will help our members in their efforts to provide such life-changing and innovative technologies to patients,” said Siminski. “I am a firm believer in listening to customers and delivering a one-of-a-kind experience.”

Siminski is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where she pursued a double major in English and Psychology. Before joining BIO, Siminski worked at several Washington, D.C., associations, including the AUVSI Foundation, O’Keefe Communications, National Trade Productions and the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association.
