Reflective Representation in Clinical Research and Data
November 5, 2026
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
The third webinar in AdvaMed’s 2026 Women’s Health webinar series will provide an in-depth discussion about how gaps in female inclusion in clinical research impact downstream health, healthcare delivery, and medical product innovation. Presenters will examine the consequences of underrepresentation in research, including an incomplete evidence base and disease-specific treatment guidelines that fall short, both of which can lead to problems like less impactful USPSTF recommendations and delayed diagnoses and treatment.
Presenters will then highlight their own success stories, sharing the initiatives and concrete steps their organizations have undertaken to improve recruitment and retention of female participants in clinical research. Along the way, missed opportunities and lessons learned will also be on the table. Finally, the discussion will turn to how improved clinical studies can drive more meaningful regulatory and coverage decisions — and what that means for the future of women’s health innovation.
