Juan Carlos “JC” Scott serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Director of AdvaMed Accel, where he leads the association’s efforts to deepen engagement with emerging and growth-stage medical technology companies and strengthen AdvaMed’s role across the innovation ecosystem.
As a member of AdvaMed’s executive leadership team, JC leads AdvaMed Accel, which represents nearly 500 innovative, early-stage medtech companies. Working closely with the AdvaMed Accel Board of Directors, he focuses on expanding support for entrepreneurs, innovators, and scaling companies while building stronger connections among medtech companies, investors, strategic partners, and other stakeholders across the health care ecosystem.
JC brings extensive experience in health care policy, advocacy, and association leadership. Before returning to AdvaMed, he served for seven years as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA). Earlier in his career, JC held senior leadership roles at AdvaMed, including Chief Advocacy Officer, where he helped advance key policy priorities and strengthen the association’s advocacy on behalf of the medical technology industry.
Throughout his career, JC has built deep relationships across health care and developed a strong understanding of the policy, business, and investment environments that shape medical technology innovation. In his current role, he is focused on strengthening member value, supporting the next generation of medtech companies, and positioning AdvaMed Accel as a leading home for emerging innovators and investors.
