AdvaMed Welcomes Sarah Killeen as Vice President, Government Affairs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) today announced that Sarah Killeen has joined the association as Vice President, Government Affairs.

“We’re very pleased to have Sarah join the AdvaMed team and help shape our advocacy on critical policy issues for the medtech industry, including permanently repealing the medical device tax, advancing diagnostics regulatory and reimbursement reforms, and ensuring appropriate implementation of ongoing FDA reforms that facilitate access to safe and effective medical technologies,” said Greg Crist, Chief Advocacy Officer and Head of External Affairs at AdvaMed.

“Sarah’s extensive experience on Capitol Hill in the Health Care Arena – including on the device tax, diagnostics and FDA issues – and working on trade-related issues at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will help advance policies that unleash our industry’s potential to provide life-changing innovations to patients,” Crist said.

Killeen formerly served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D., of Indiana. Previously, Killeen served as Bucshon’s Legislative Assistant, and as Legislative Assistant for Congressional and Public Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Killeen holds a BA in Political Science from Arizona State University.

“I’m excited about joining the AdvaMed team, and look forward to being a part of an organization and an industry that’s focused first and foremost on improving patient care,” said Sarah Killeen.
