Vice President of Business Development and Membership, AdvaMed
Ashley McMaster is Vice President of Business Development and Membership at the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed).
Her primary responsibilities are to cultivate effective industry relationships, coordinate member engagement on pressing policy issues and program development, and ensure growth and consistency of the association’s discrete revenue streams, including the AdvaMed Purchasing Group. She helps identify prospective members and fosters relationships with key business leaders at multinational medical technology companies, as well as innovative startups and emerging-growth businesses. She also proactively assists members in accessing AdvaMed resources and works with internal subject-matter experts to create and assess programs that are of high value and benefit to members.
Prior to joining AdvaMed, Ms. McMaster was the senior health care editor at SmartBrief, a media company that publishes daily e-newsletters with an audience of nearly 3 million business decision makers across 25 key industries. She managed the team of editors responsible for the $6 million suite of health-related publications and specialized in the areas of biotechnology, medical devices and diagnostics, and transfusion medicine and cellular therapies.
Ms. McMaster is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and has a master’s degree in public affairs from George Washington University. She has served as the volunteer social media coordinator for PurpleStride DC, the annual 5K fundraiser for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and, with her husband, has helped raise more than $100,000 for the organization.
