ADVAMED WELCOMES SENATE COMMITTEE APPROVAL OF DEPUTY U.S. TRADE REP
|
WASHINGTON, D.C. – AdvaMed President and CEO Stephen J. Ubl issued the following statement following the Senate Finance Committee’s approval of John Veroneau to be Deputy United States Trade Representative on September 30:
“AdvaMed is pleased that the Senate Finance Committee has approved John Veroneau for this important position in the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR). As a former General Counsel with USTR, Mr. Veroneau’s has extensive experience working to assist U.S. companies in gaining access to foreign markets.”
“Mr. Veroneau is a seasoned and knowledgeable negotiator and assumes this position at a critical time for U.S. trade policy,” Ubl said. “We look forward to working with him, as he will have a lead role in any negotiations with the World Trade Organization and responsibility for USTR’s new Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation, which will address issues directly affecting the medial technology industry.”
