ADVAMED MOVES TO 701 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, NW ON OCTOBER 20, 2006 NEW SPACE WILL ALLOW FOR TECHNOLOGY GALLERY

WASHINGTON D.C.– Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) has signed a long-term lease for 24,585-square-feet at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, which is also known as Market Square East. The office building is owned, leased and managed by Equity Office. The Association will occupy space on the eighth floor of the building.
“AdvaMed has expanded to accommodate the significant growth in the medical technology industry during the past five years. Our move to Market Square East is a strategic move forward to allow easy access to AdvaMed’s many stakeholders in Washington, D.C.,” said Stephen J. Ubl, President and CEO of AdvaMed.

Located on Pennsylvania Avenue, Market Square East is midway between the White House and the U.S. Capitol. The office building abuts the U.S. Navy Memorial Plaza and is adjacent to the Archives-Navy Memorial Metro Station. With panoramic views of Pennsylvania Avenue and the National Archives, the building is half of a twin-building project.These twin structures feature approximately 680,000 square feet of office and retail space and are home to prominent law firms and government affairs offices of major U.S. and international corporations.
AdvaMed’s plans include an exhibit space for a medical technology gallery in the lobby area of the new offices. The gallery will be a showcase for the cutting-edge technologies that are improving and extending the lives of thousands of individuals worldwide. The exhibit will include the Association’s major product sectors – orthopedic, ophthalmic, blood, health information technology, diagnostic, wound management – as well as cardiac technologies. The gallery displays will be rotated regularly. The exhibit will include elements of AdvaMed’s “Progress You Can See” campaign. This public awareness initiative is designed to highlight the positive impact medical technology has on patients’ lives and the value it adds to the health care system.
The History Factory, a Chantilly, Virginia-based heritage management firm, has been hired to design and build the exhibit.
